Firmdale Hotels Launch Ham Yard

Ham Yard Hotel roomLuxury hoteliers, Firmdale Hotels launch their latest London venture – the Ham Yard Hotel, based in the heart of Soho.

The Firmdale Hotel Group already boasts some of London’s most luxury, five-star hotels on its books, from The Soho Hotel to Charlotte Street, the Haymarket to Dorset Square.

This June, they’ll launch their eighth London venture, Ham Yard, and it’s set to be chicer and more stylish than ever.

Located in the heart of Soho and just a block from Mayfair, the Ham Yard sits in a prime London location, be it for tourists visiting the capital or locals looking for some luxury and R&R.

As with all Firmdale properties, the interiors and ethos behind Ham Yard has been designed by the brand’s owners, Tim and Kit Kemp. For their latest project, they’ve looked to a distinctly ‘urban village’ feel to make up the hotels 90 individually designed bedrooms and suites, 24 apartments, 13 shops, as well as a restaurant, a bar and an ourdoor drinking and dining space.

The hotel will also offer those little extras Firmdale has become synonymous with, so expect a 176 seat theatre, a 50s style bowling alley, a library, the Sohoistic Spa & Gym and a rooftop garden with sweeping views over London’s iconic skyline.

All of this sits around a unique tree-lined garden with a specially commissioned Tony Cragg sculpture at its center.

Ham Yard’s restaurant is sure to be a big pull for the new hotel too, for both residents and Londoners. With a frequently changing menu, the restaurant will showcase the best of British produce and skill, with specialities including the aptly named  Ham Yard ham, comforting chilli beans on toast and wonderfully retro ice-cream sandwiches.

Something tells us Ham Yard is going to be Firmdale’s most exciting hotel to date.

Ham Yard Hotel opens in London on 1 June 2014.
