Alexander Wang x H&M First Look

Alexander Wang x H&MH&M offers first glimpse of hotly anticipated Alexander Wang collaboration. The high street store has taken to social media to offer the  first glimpse of their Alexander Wang collaboration…

Just when we thought we’d contained our excitement, the Swedish high street heavyweight took to Instagram to reveal two tantalising images of the hotly anticipated Alexander Wang collaboration.

Following in the footsteps of Isabel Marant (how could we forget), Versace and Maison Martin Margiela, the American born designer who also heads up Parisian powerhouse Balenciaga is the name on everyone’s wishlist. Epitomising the elusive off-duty model vibe and effortless downtime style, Wang counts Rihanna, Zoe Kravitz and Kate Bosworth as fans as well as topping many a fashion editor’s most-wanted list. So it’s no surprise that this affordable collaboration has seen H&M take a new, unprecedented move in the run-up to the launch date.

Ever since Alexander Wang x H&M’s star-studded revelation at Coachella earlier this year, we’ve been longing to know what exactly this one-off collection will include.

Will there be a Rocco duffle in our price range? Or a sports luxe sweater for less than £50 perhaps? While we were quite content waiting for the answers to these all-important questions to be revealed on November 6th when the collection hits 250 UK stores, we must admit we’re delighted with this week’s rare glimpses.

So what can we expect? Well, admittedly the images are slightly ambiguous but we can confirm that accessories are set to play a starring role in this sure to be instant sell-out.

The first image posted – a boxing glove keyring meets bag charm – nods to Wang’s sports-luxe roots and hints that the American’s break-out SS10 collection is set to make a hugely welcome appearance. And then the second image, the logo-emblazoned leather detail shot which has divided opinion on its shoe vs bag origin, directly references Wang’s heavily branded and street-wear SS14 collection.

So, just as we imagined, we will want it all.

Circle the date in your diary, set a reminder and sharpen those elbows for the hugely anticipated 6th November…
