Support Kids Company at Liberty of London this Christmas

kids company woolly hoodThis winter, support Kids Company by purchasing an item from their limited edition clothing range at Liberty.

Kids Company is the official charity of Liberty and this winter they are continuing the support for this amazing cause with two new schemes; a special collection of Christmas cards which have been designed by children supported by Kids Company, as well as a range of four cute knitted animal ‘hoods that hug’ designed for young children.

Kids Company is the pioneering children’s charity founded by Camila Batmanghelidjh in 1996. They provide practical, emotional and educational support to vulnerable inner-city children. Their unique services reach 17,000 children across London, including the most deprived and at risk whose parents are unable to care for them due to their own practical and emotional challenges. These children are extremely vulnerable and face challenges not only in the family home, but also within their neighbourhoods. Many of the children have been exposed to severe violence, forced to work as drug couriers or prostitutes and have been subject to alarming abuse.

Kids Company provides a  safe, caring, family environment where children are given support enabled to empower those  who have experienced enormous challenges, in order to go on and lead positive and fulfilling lives.

Proceeds from all ranges at Liberty will go to the charity. Liberty’s commitment to Kids Company also includes a tailor-made work placement scheme, aimed at vulnerable young adults supported by the charity.

The cute hooded scarfs cost £45 and will make a wonderful Christmas gift for your little girl or boy.  The Christmas cards cost £8.95 for a pack of five. Each card incorporates the use of Liberty print fabrics and are all made by the children who attend Kid’s Company.

Visit the Kid’s Company website for further details on their work.
