Shock Absorber Run

Breast Cancer RunBreast Cancer Awareness Month has arrived and there is no better way to pay tribute than with a revitalising run. Take part in the Shock Absorber Women Only Run on October 20.

Raise awareness for a significant cause, which can help save the lives of many. The Shock Absorber Women Only Run will take place for the second year in leafy Richmond Park for Breast Cancer Care as the official charity.

Ladies of all running levels should get involved for the chance to raise some money for an undeniable cause. Help support those living with breast cancer with either a five or 10 kilometre run on the autumnal background of the park.

Set amongst 2,500 acres of Royal Park including 650 roaming deer and landscape ponds, the one-lap course is the perfect intimate run for women with distractions provided for men whilst they cheer you on.

Both the five and ten kilometre run offers a Run with your Buggy option so you don’t need to leave the little ones at home. Before the event there is a 15 minute warm up to ensure you don’t pull a muscle before your run and when you’ve finished, there will be the opportunity to take part in a 15 minute yoga cool-down session.

In return for the money you raise and your support, you will receive a Breast Cancer Care T-shirt, a support pack, training plan and top tips, support from a member of the sports team, newsletters to keep you updates, a goody bag and a post race reception with refreshments.

Remember to wear your Shock Absorber before you run as title sponsor of the event, Shock Absorber say that the a Shock Absorber bra will provide up to 78% less breast bounce and giving you less risk of breast damage.
