Fashion designer Markus Lupfer has teamed up with model and mum Donna Air to design an exclusive childrenswear collection for Debenhams.
German womenswear designer, Markus Lupfer is no stranger to a fashion collaboration what with his recent partnerships with Whistles and ASOS. This season, he’s turned his hand to a celebrity collaboration with the help of model, mum, TV presenter and friend, Donna Air.
Together they have designed a childrenswear capsule collection for girls aged 4 to 14 exclusively for British department store Debenhams. Staying true to Lupfer’s quirky, playful style, the collection comprises knits and tees emblazoned with cute icons and quirky slogans.
Featuring graphic embellishments galore, plenty of sequins and Lupfer’s usual tongue in cheek designs; this collection, named the ‘Donna and Markus by Markus Lupfer’ range, has been shrunk down into mini-me sizes and made age appropriate – although we’d quite happily squeeze into the piece ourselves.
Highlights of the collection include a striped knit with a signature Lupfer sequined speech bubble, and a warm winter grey knit with a superhero style ‘Boom!’ slogan.
We also love the sweet sequinned penguin knit – perfect for the festive season, and a striped tee with glitter lip print.
Starting at just £14, the Donna and Markus collection is one of the more affordable designer kid’s collections around, and would make perfect presents for any fashion forward young girls this Christmas.
The capsule collection has had the seal of approval from Donna’s own daughter, Freya, who labeled the collection ‘cool’. And it’s certainly got the thumbs up here at StyleNest. If only if came in big sizes too.
