Markus Lupfer For Asos Black

leather jacket Markus Lupfer has designed a leather capsule collection exclusively for Asos.

Markus Lupfer has joined forces with Asos Black for an all leather capsule collection. Going back to his aesthetic roots, using leather and print to create this edgy, wearable and  totally affordable range.

Markus Lupfer is one of London’s hottest designers of the moment. He graduated from the University of Westminster in 1997 and instantly achieved recognition for his refreshingly unique style and the way in which he redesigns everyday basics in an artful manner.

Lupfer says, ‘The pieces are contemporary, fun and easy-to-wear – a combination of separates that go right through from day to night, and have something for everyone, which is something I always try to provide,” the designer told us. “The printed leather is new for [the brand], I wanted the collection to feel new, fresh and modern – which is something that the very graphic print provides. The leather elevates the feel of things to a more luxury place and gives the very wearable pieces a slightly more special edge.’

The collection takes autumn’s key fabric- leather, in a raw-edged, black and navy palette, and layers it with shattered kaleidoscope prints in azure blue, orange and charcoal on dresses, trousers, blouses and T-shirt silhouettes. The collection is highly wearable and the price point is affordable, with the printed leather biker jacket a reasonable £200 and luxe leather trousers priced at £165.

Standout pieces from the collection include the printed leather skater dress, also Lupfer’s favourite piece from the collection. This fit and flare dress with a small geometric cut-out at the chest is the perfect item for any upcoming festive parties you may be attending. It is a unique and quirky piece that will last for season’s to come. StyleNest also love the leather printed t-shirt, a fantastic boardroom to bar staple that will ensure all eyes are on you.
