Tommi’s Burger Joint Kings Road

Tommi's Burger JointThis January, Tommi’s Burger joint launches new site on London’s King’s Road, bringing burgers to all corners of the city.

If you, like StyleNest crave some hearty comfort food in the month of January after a month of gluttonous indulgences at Christmas, then the launch of Tommi’s Burger Joint is the spot for you.

After launching their first London site in Marylebone in 2012 as a pop-up, Tommi’s Burger Joint has now moved a stone’s throw down the road to Thayer Street to a permanent site. Now, burger junkies from across the Capital can sink their teeth into the native Icelandic burger joint with a distinct American loft style aesthetic.

Headed up by Tomas Tómasson, the Icelandic entrepreneur has launched six Tommi’s in his native Iceland, including nearly 20 other restaurants and hotels.

With a reputable following since the moment they opened their pop-up doors, Tommi’s Burger Joint’s latest venture will use meat from HG Walter butches in Barons Court and bread from Millers Bakery. Cooked on an American gas grill to seal in all the juices and flavours, the patty is topped with Tommi’s signature homemade Béarnaise and cocktail sauces.

With Icelandic beer to wash your burger down with, Tommi’s offers a relaxed and informal feel with reclaimed wooden furniture, exposed brickwork and a vintage feel. Perfect for a catch up with friends, the King’s Road launch of Tommi’s offers the ultimate January comfort food whilst also remaining healthy. Tomas also maintains that a good burger is healthy: “If you stop to think about it, what’s in a burger? It’s good beef, bread, lettuce and tomatoes with ketchup, mustard and a little mayonnaise.”
