New Sally Hansen collaboration with Alexander Wang and Prabal Gurung

Here at StyleNest, we love a nail polish. Some of us love sparkle, others prefer nudes, but one thing’s for sure, we love to try anything new. So, when we heard about Sally Hansen’s collaboration with the designers du jour, Wang and Gurung, we just had to try them.

Nails can make or break an outfit. The wrong colour can leave you seriously clashing, whilst a chip or a crack can ruin an otherwise perfect ensemble. Sally Hansen’s new collections are not only perfectly shaded to match this season’s hippest colours, but the polishes are hard-wearing, easy to apply and will not chip. Innovative and fun, what’s not to love?

Prabal Gurung is the Singapore- born, Nepal-raised designer who has catapulted to the forefront of the world’s fashion scene. Gurung draws inspiration from his love of travel, transforming his clothing into wearable art. The Prabal Gurung nail polish collection accents his exotic inspiration and comes in three colours. Gilded Lily is a subtle gold-flecked polish, which, is a perfect match for a shimmering gold dress he debuted on the AW12 catwalk. Onyx is a deep black shade that is a prevalent colour trend for AW12, whilst Ivory Skull is a creamy white shade, complementing the white feathered creations of Gurung’s AW12 catwalk.

Alexander Wang sums up New York’s downtown-cool aesthetic to a tee. It is only right that his nail polish equally matches the unfussy vibe he has worked to create. The polish is called Ion and is a remarkable off-white colour that looks unusual, yet refined on hands. It adheres to Wang’s AW12 catwalk collection perfectly, which, as always, remains achingly cool.

All nail polishes cost £6.99 and are available from October.
