Iconic London department store Harrods, are hosting a series of fragrance inspired events this August and September, in an exclusive and exciting Harrods Perfume event.
Celebrate all things olfactory this summer with luxury department store Harrods. The iconic Knightsbridge department store are hosting a series of fragrance-led events throughout August and September, from in-store talks from the experts to perfume master classes.
If you’ve ever fancied yourself as a bit of ‘A Nose’, make sure you make it down to Harrods’ famous beauty halls during this time for a festival of all things fragrance and a chance to meet the people behind some of the world’s best-loved scents.
Kicking off the menu on Thursday 22 August at 6pm is a Meet The Perfumers Fragrance Tutorial. In a collaboration with Swiss scent specialist, Givaudan, Harrods will host a workshop to teach perfume lovers about different ingredients and olfactive families.
A more educational workshop will take place on Monday 2 September at 3pm and 6pm. Here, Thomas Fontaine of French fashion house Jean Patou, will look into the relationship women have with fragrance and explain how this has changed over the years, dating from the 30s to the present day.
Throughout the month long event, expect some of the world’s most qualified experts from the world of fragrance to share their tips. Including, Guerlain perfumer Thierry Wasser, Chloé’s Michel Almairac and creator or Lancôme’s signature L’Autre Oud, Christophe Raynaud.
But the top note of the event calendar for us has to be the final workshop on Monday 16 September. Join Joanna Norman, one the noses behind Chanel, for champagne and macaroons in flavours of possibly the most iconic scents of all time, Chanel No.5.
