Luxury London department store, Harrods have launched the world’s first Rockstud boutique dedicated to the much-loved Valentino studs.

Valentino’s tough-luxe studs have become a staple of the fashion house’s accessories collection. From punkish clutch bags to statement studded pumps, Valentino’s Rockstud Rouge collection is instantly recognisable.

Add to this the Italian label’s long affinity with the colour red, and the Rockstud Rouge collection was born.

To celebrate the collection’s global success, renowned luxury department store, Harrods have opened the world’s first Rockstud Rouge boutique in the Knightsbridge store’s International Designer Rooms on the First Floor.

The boutique will play host to the sought-after ruby red shoes, bags, accessories and women’s ready-to-wear pieces that make up the collection, all of course, adorned with those punkish pyramid studs.

With Punk being one of AW13’s biggest trends, the boutique opening could not have come at a better time.

Marigay McKee, Harrods’ Chief Merchant, said of the boutique opening, “We are delighted to unveil the first Valentino Rockstud pop-up here at Harrods. The new boutique will present the new collection, which pays homage to the legendary house’s red obsession.”

Along with old Valentino favourites, the Rockstud Rouge Tote and the Va Va Voom shoulder bag and clutch, the Rockstud Rouge boutique will also introduce a new contender. The Rouge Cristal tote, which featured in Valentino’s Autumn/Winter 2013 show, will be available exclusively at Harrods. So Rockstud fans better hotfoot it to the Brompton Road store.

The Rouge Cristal takes Valentino’s classic tote and reworks it with red metallic crystals and those characteristic lacquered pyramid studs. Priced at £5,110 expect it to become one of next season’s most lust-after bags.
