Look 1. Christmas Work Do – Perfect Pony

It’s your work Christmas party so ensure your hair is classic and sophisticated with a low ponytail. As seen on the runways of Matthew Williamson and Dior, a key 2013 hair trend, the low ponytail can transcend from the day to night. For an evening look, take 1/5th of the ponytail and twist it semi-taught. Wrap it round the elastic band securing the ponytail, ensuring you have enough hair to cover the band and secure with grips and finish with a spritz of hairspray.

Look 2. Christmas Lunch With Friends – Messy Top Knot Bun

Ideal for a casual Saturday brunch or relaxed Sunday roast at the pub, the Messy Top Knot Bun is the ideal up-do look for the festive season. Casual and effortless, simply create a high ponytail and fasten with a band. Once secured, loosen a few strands with a comb and once you have achieved enough volume, wrap your hair around the band into a bun a finish with grips and hairspray.

Look 3. Christmas Eve – Wild and Free

It’s time to feel merry so  let your hair down with some loose tousled curls. Whatever hair length or hair type, simply tip your head upside down and let hair fall which will create more volume. Divide hair into four sections and brush the hair through and spritz with a thermal heat protector spray. Take one section and curl away from the face using a medium barrel tong. Repeat until complete. For the left, curl in a clockwise motion and hold for 10-15 seconds and on the right curl in an anti-clockwise motion. Run your ringers through to create loose waves and finish with a spritz of hair spray.

Top Tips

To ensure silky soft hair this winter, when conditioning use cold water to rinse for a shiny finish. Use a serum in dry weather and once a week use a leave-in oil or hair treatment mask and then shampoo it for glossy results. If you use heat styling appliances, use on a warm setting and try to avoid straighteners.
