Burns Night Supper at Whiski Bar

Where better to celebrate a night of Scotland’s most famous poet than in the Scottish Capital? Edinburgh’s Whiski Bar will be celebrating their nation’s poet with two haggis sittings and a traditional fiddle band. There’ll also be a vegetarian haggis option on the menu for non-meat eaters.

Celebrate Burns Night at Harvey Nichols
Friday 25 January at London, Bristol, Edinburgh and Leeds Harvey Nichols stores
Taking place in four of Harvey Nichols’ nationwide stores are a variety of Burns Night celebrations honouring the work of Robert Burns. London’s Fifth Floor Restaurant will be putting on a lavish affair in partnership with Chivas Regal whiskies, whilst the Leed’s store will kick off with a cocktail reception followed by a traditional Burns Night supper. For something a little different head to Harvey Nichols in Bristol where you’ll learn how to create delicious and possibly quite potent whiskey based cocktails from resident bartender and Scotsman Niel McShee.

The Square Mile’s historic 1 Lombard Street restaurant is putting on a tradition Scottish knees up this Burns Night with kilts, bagpipes, whiskey and more. Burns Night at Loch Fyne

A Scot himself, Loch Fyne’s Head Chef Doug Wright has come up with a varied menu brimming with Scottish delights. From the traditional Neeps and Tatties and Cullen Skink to the more contemporary Roasted Fillet of Hake with Colcannon Mash; you’ll be spoilt for choice. Diners will also be treated to a complimentary wee dram of whiskey (or wine) on arrival.

Burns Night at The York & Albany

Gordon Ramsay’s Scottish connections and affinity with north of the boarder are celebrated this month as his Camden based pub puts on a Burns Night supper. The York & Albany will have Scottish inspired menu on the 25th with £2 from each menu being donated to the Help for Heroes charity. Post dinner; retire to the York & Albany’s secret Hunting Cabin hidden away behind the pub for a nightcap or two.

Burns Night With A Geordie Twist

Not quite making the Scottish boarder but near enough is the quaint hotel and restaurant, Battlesteads. Sat in the picturesque village of Wark on Tyne, Battlesteads will be putting on a Burns Night supper with a ‘why aye’ twist. The link isn’t quite so tenuous as Wark was actually part of Scotland at one time albeit back in 1296 and Robert Burns himself visited in 1787. A history lesson as well as a night of drinking, eating and dancing.
