We may only be in November but planning ahead for a great NYE is essential. 2012 has been a great year for Britain so it’s only right we see it off in style. The Potting Shed at Dorset Square Hotel
If the thought of a New Year’s Eve knees-up leaves you cold this December 31st, head to The Potting Shed restaurant for an indulgent, yet relaxed evening of food and wine. On the menu there’s champagne and canapés to start, followed by tuna sashimi, côte de boeuf and chocolate fondant to name just a few. If you hung up those party shoes some years ago, this could be your ideal New Year’s Eve.

New Year’s Eve On The Orient Express
It may be turning 2013, but board the iconic British Pullman Orient Express this NYE and you’ll be whisked back to a time of decadence and elegance. Dust off your glad rags and step aboard the famous train for a festive dinner, plenty of champagne and fine wine as it makes its way from London Victoria, through the Kent countryside and back again. Moments before the clock strikes midnight, the train will pull into the station where guest will disembark to the sounds of a traditional Scottish piper to welcome in the New Year.
Where: The British Pullman departs from London Victoria at 19.30 and arrives back at London Victoria at 01.15am.

Hogmanay At Cameron House
On the bonnie bonnie banks of Loch Lomand sits the luxury Scottish hotel, Cameron House. Seeing as the Scots do New Year best, why not head north of the boarder for a traditional evening of Highland pipers, Scottish dancing and whiskey tasting. Wine and dine amongst a classic Ceilidh, then nurse your head the next day on a luxury loch cruise. Get in the spirit of things and wear something tartan.

The Devonshire Gala Dinner at The Grand, Eastbourne
If you’re looking to see the New Year in by the sea, head to the five star luxury of The Grand in Eastbourne. Along the South Coast it’s easily accessible from London but offers a calmer ambiance than nearby party-mad Brighton. This year the hotel is putting on an evening of decadence in their impress Compton Ballroom, including champagne, four courses and plenty of dancing. It’s a black tie event too – any excuse to dress up.

Hogmanay at Hotel Missoni, Edinburgh
Teaming Scotland’s New Year’s tradition with Italy’s fashion glamour is Hotel Missoni’s Hogmanay. Just off the Royal Mile and a stone’s throw from one of the world’s most famous NYE parties, guests can enjoy two nights bed and breakfast in the stylish hotel, a New Year’s Eve dinner in the Cucina restaurant, a bottle of Prosecco on arrival and two tickets to the famous Edinburgh street party. New Year’s Eves don’t come more fabulous and memorable than this.

Celebrate New Year’s Eve at The OXO Tower
The world’s spotlight has been shining over London throughout 2012 thanks to an abundance of sporting events and Royal occasions. Make sure you have the best seat in the house and raise a toast to the city that certainly had its year this 2012, at the top of the Southbank’s OXO Tower. The theme is the Roaring Twenties so dust off your flapper dress and Charleston the night away to live music, food and wine in glamourous Gatsby style.

New Year’s Eve in Paris
Fancy a change of scene this December 31st? Celebrate the beginning of 2013 in style with a trip to Paris. Whether you’re after a romantic trip with your other half in the boutique hotel Lumen Paris Louvre, or are thinking of laying off the champagne this year in exchange for a stay at Guerlain’s iconic spa, take advantage of the Eurostar’s NYE offers. With a theme of the 1975 Judgment of Paris expect plenty of fine wines paired with a decadent six course tasting menu.
