Christmas Shopping On The Orient Express UK

orient express christmasDo your Christmas shopping in style this winter as the Orient Express launch Christmas Shopping On The Rails.

If you’re sick of Oxford Street or feeling uninspired by your local department store, we’ve found the perfect shopping trip to hunt out all your Christmas gifts this year.

This Thursday 6 December, the iconic and opulent Orient Express are hosting their Christmas Shopping On The Rails for the second year running. Last year’s event, which saw the vintage 1920s carriages of the British Pullman play host to an array of British luxury retailers, was so popular that the organisers have decided to go full steam ahead for another year.

The perfect day out for mothers and daughters, or a group of girlfriends, this unique shopping experience is surely the chicest way to do your Christmas shopping this December.

Departing from London Victoria, the day will kick off with a decadent, festive four-course lunch whilst passengers travel through to the idyllic Kent countryside. After lunch, shoppers will be invited to stroll through the Art Deco carriages rich in history, where they will find a host of luxury British brands setting up shop.

Beauty brands ESPA and Daniel Sandler will be popping up on the luxury train, giving shoppers the chance to buy gift sets, hero products and gorgeous fragrant Christmas candles.

For special friends, loved ones or indeed yourself, London based jewellery designer Alex Monroe will be offering his simple yet beautiful pieces onboard the Orient. Inspired by nature, his collections often feature delicate gold creatures such as bumblebees or hummingbirds and are a fast track ticket to memorable gifts.

For the man in your life, treat him to some luxury stationery, as British brand Ettinger will be selling their signature leather goods on the day. Unwrapping a brand new leather notebook on Christmas morning always makes you feel ready and organised for the year ahead.

Finally, ultimate British store Harrods will be joining the luxury pop-ups with a range of Christmas food and drink to fill your Christmas dinner table with.

So dust off your finery and celebrate Christmas Poirot-style on the Orient Express, hopefully with a little less mystery and a lot more shopping.

The ‘Shopping on the Rails’ trip costs £350 per person and departs from London Victoria on Thursday 6th December 2012. For further details and reservations visit www.orient-express.com/uktrains or call 0845 077 2222
