The Conran Shop’s RED exhibition launched last month with such a great reception from the design world, that the brand have decided to extend the exhibition throughout October.
Running until 29 October, the RED exhibition celebrates 25 years of the spectacular Michelin Building being the British brand’s home and will mark the occasion by showcasing the works of over 40 of the world’s best designers. Included in the impressive lineup are Jasper Morrison, Thomas Heatherwick, John Pawson and Raw Edges – a real feast for design buffs and interiors enthusiasts.
The name of the exhibition gives the game away slightly, with each of the contributing designers creating something in the same colourway – red. The inspiration came from one of Britain’s most recognisable and loved icons; the red pillar-box.
Red comes in all shapes and sizes in the exhibition from Nendo’s contemporary thin red cube table to jewellery from the likes of Solange Azaguary Partridge. Price points start from the bargainous £5 and work their way up to £25,000 and above for the more serious collectors out there. The exhibition is an opportunity for all aspiring interior designers too, or those simply craving a little home inspiration as it’ll showcase everything from innovative lighting designs and ideas, to beautifully handcrafted furniture.
To coincide with the event, The Conran Shop are also hosting a pop-up SodaStream bar in the iconic Chelsea store, where customers can sample a few cocktails whilst they browse some of the world’s best design talent.
Whether you’re after a design classic sure to add some winter warmth to your home, or simply on the lookout for some inspiration, hotfoot it down to The Conran Shop’s RED exhibition this autumn.
The RED exhibition will run until 29 October 2012 at The Conran Shop’s Michelin Building, 81 Fulham Road, London SW3. Admission free.
