Thai Square Spa – Herbal Healer Treatment

Thai Sq Spa PostStyleNest paid a visit to Thai Square Spa to try out the Herbal Healer treatment.

Sprawling with beauty boutiques, fashion stores and foodie hangouts Convent Garden is best known as the place to head to should you need to pick up a gift from Aesop or enjoy a cocktail at Balthazar. Lesser known to city slickers perhaps is the opportunity to enjoy a spot of pampering and relaxation at the Thai Square Spa, a stone’s throw away from the station. StyleNest headed to Shelton Street to see what this Thai spa had to offer.

Booked in for the Herbal Healer treatment upon arrival we were ushered downstairs, and with each step we could feel ourselves entering the tranquil world of the East. Sticking with the traditions of Thailand, our therapist followed ancient customs and rituals and began our treatment with a relaxing foot soak, accompanied by a calming and delicious herbal tea.

The treatment began with a soothing, aromatic oil massage – something our dry winter skin was very much in need of. Next, using a Thai herbal poultice, which contains a variety of therapeutic Thai herbs and spices, our therapist combatted a number of knots and tense muscles.

Finally, our therapist directed her attention to the head. A deep and soothing scalp massage ensured we were completely relaxed and all tensions of work and Christmas shopping were a thing of the past.

After a gentle stretch our herbal healer treatment came to a close. Then it was into our robes and off to the relaxation lounge to enjoy a relaxing cup of tea. It was hard to believe, feeling so relaxed, that the bustle of Covent Garden was just outside.

The perfect treatment for the New Year, this detoxifying, stress-relieving massage is a great way to start the year post party season.
