Mandarin Oriental Set To Be Marrakech’s Newest Luxury Hotel

Mandarin MarrakechMarrakech is about to welcome a brand new luxury hotel as Mandarin Oriental opens its doors this spring.

Arriving in a culturally rich and magical city, the resort strives to offer an atmosphere that unites Marrakech’s “exotic charm and relaxed lifestyle”, with its 54 luxury villas, private swimming pools, Spanish and Arabic-inspired décor, olive trees, and spa.

The resort offers guests the best of both city life and peacefulness, being set amongst the rolling greenery of Marrakech Royal Golf Club but just a short drive from Marrakech’s busy medina.

The resort’s interiors have been designed by French design pair, Patrick Gilles and Dorothée Boissier, who’s contrasting styles have given way to a sophisticated juxtaposition of clean lines and symmetrical forms alongside Berber, Spanish and Arabic elements. Inside the 54 villas, the designers have focused on achieving a ‘refined sense of place’. Beautiful traditional patterns feature alongside contemporary furnishings and every one features its own private pool and garden – not bad at all! For a more premium experience, 9 suites offer varying extra luxuries including private treatment rooms, private infinity pools and terraces with astounding views of the Atlas Mountains.

Whilst Marrakech has abundant eating and drinking options right through the city, if guests find themselves thirsty or looking for a relaxed evening in, the resort houses five restaurants and bars, each one embracing Moroccan arts and crafts in their décor. Likewise the Spa at Mandarin Oriental draws décor inspiration from the cathedrals of Andalusia, and offers treatments inspired by Moroccan culture in its blissful naturalistic rooms with olive trees.
