Wyndham Grand Chelsea Harbour

Wyndham Grand London Chelsea Harbour Suite London’s only five- star all-suite hotel offers a family friendly luxury service in the heart of the city.

Set within London’s exclusive Chelsea Harbour amongst multi-million pound properties and luxury yachts lays the Wyndham Grand. The hotel itself is imposing; seven floors of spacious suites, home to a spa, gym, pool and shop, with luxury finished hallways throughout, the service however is that of what you would expect to find in a small boutique hotel – warm, friendly and personal.

We arrived at the Wyndham Grand in the evening by which time the sun had set and the harbour was lit only by pretty street lamps reflecting off the water. After a warm welcome we were taken to our suite on the seventh floor with its own private balcony. Greeted by a magnificent view over London we could see the Albert Bridge twinkling in the distance.

Every room at the Wyndham is either a suite or one of four exclusive penthouse suites on the top floor, meaning you don’t have to worry about cramming the family in or fret about being surrounded by luggage, toys and the everyday essentials families need to travel with. Split into two sizable rooms, one with a gigantic double, the other a living space with a sofa bed that doubles up as a children’s twin. The wardrobe is big enough for a family of four to use, with plenty of storage space in both the living room and bedroom. Both rooms also come with a flat screen TV each so you don’t have to be subjected to a kid’s film after a long day traipsing round London. The bathroom is spacious with Aromatherapy Associates toiletries, a huge shower and low bath – ideal for bathing toddlers. Two toilets are also handy with a family in tow.

When it comes to kids the Wyndham have thought of everything and have helpfully enlisted some award-winning child friendly brands to make your stay a little easier. The hotel’s partnership with Easidream will make putting babies and toddlers to bed a little easier with Ewan The Dream Sheep. He emits soothing sounds and a calming pink glow, allowing your little one to drift off in peace. The Chelsea Riverside Brasserie is elegantly designed, looking out on to the harbour and offers a kids friendly menu as well as classic favourites like sausage and mash to seasonal dishes like game. The chef came out to meet and greet everyone after dinner, which was a nice personal touch.

With London on the Wyndham’s doorstep you won’t be stuck for activities to entertain the children, from site seeing to a day in one of the city’s famous parks. The King’s Road and its many shops is only minutes away too if you do get the chance to sneak off for some retail therapy. The hotel itself has a beautiful spa complete with a pool that can be used by the whole family and a relaxation room to rest your head in for an hour or so. Both are complimentary for hotel guest and you can be booked in for additional treatments too.

When it’s time to check-out the hotel will even make up a Little Jetstter pack of sticker books, crayons, doodle books and cuddly toys for any little one facing a long car journey ahead, as well as changing mats, baby wipes and other essentials that will make your journey home that little bit easier.
