The Marcliffe Hotel And Spa

marcliffe hotelIf you’re looking for a beautiful, luxurious haven of comfort in the heart of Scotland, look no further than the Marcliffe Hotel.

The Marcliffe is a 5 star sumptuous and luxurious hotel situated on the outskirts of Aberdeen, providing the perfect place to stay while exploring the North East of Scotland, including glorious Royal Deeside and the Granite City of Aberdeen.

The hotel is nestled amongst eleven acres of elegant woodland and natural garden. Whilst it offers the upmost in luxury, at the heart of the hotel is a warm, family-friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

The 35 rooms and 7 suites are individually designed to provide a beautifully stylish, unique and peaceful sanctuary for guests – even if you do have the kids in tow.

But it is perhaps the culinary delights of Marcliffe that earn them real star points.  The restaurant boasts a range of delicious local produce from Aberdeen Angus beef to game, fish and shellfish. To compliment the cuisine, there is a very well stocked wine cellar and a range of 100 malt whiskies from which to choose.

The Marcliffe also has a stunning adjoining spa. While the building is fairly unassuming, on stepping inside all the stresses and strains of modern day life just disappear. The elegant interiors provide a calming, comfortable and almost cocoon like atmosphere. There is an extensive menu of treatments offering everything from luxurious facials and massages to hard-working anti-aging and cellulite busting treatments. Pregnant ladies and new mummies are also catered for. The ‘New Life’ pregnancy massage is suitable after the first trimester and aims to maintain skin tone, deeply relax muscles and help to relieve the lower back whilst the ‘New Mum’ treatment is a perfect postpregnancy body massage to restore the body shape and firm the skin’s tissues following pregnancy, however take note the treatment is not suitable while breast feeding.

We can highly recommend the hour long facial with a scalp and hand massage using Comfort Zone skincare products. These creams combine the best of science and nature and they aim to relax and soothe the senses, leaving the skin feeling refreshed, revitalised, clean and clear. A visit to this spa will leave you feeling rejuvenated, calm and well looked after.

The Marcliffe is also the ideal spot to explore this beautiful part of Scotland, nearby attractions include Balmoral Castle and Dunnottar Castle. There are also a range of activities to throw yourself into from golf to fishing.

So if you’re looking to explore the North East of Scotland or are simply after a relaxing retreat head to The Marcliffe.
