So what’s it all about?

Onefinestay gives you the chance to stay in someone’s place while they’re out of town. You get to live their life for a few days and nights. Booking a stay is as easy as booking a hotel room. And there’s service to match. On arrival you are greeted by a friendly member of the OFS team armed with a goodie box of tasty treats, shown around the property and given your very own iPhone to use during your stay. The iPhone has all the numbers you could need throughout your stay including information on your local area – where to eat/shop and drink like a London local.

We visited one of their gorgeous mews houses in the heart of Notting Hill. Whilst you do feel at first that you are intruding in someone’s home you soon relax and settle in and enjoy the experience.

We were so impressed with the concierge service and the fact that the OFS team were at the end of the phone to answer any questions we had, no matter how small. With Onefinestay you get all the advantages of a hotel, including luxury toiletries from The White Company, but if you fancy a night in with a movie, bottle of wine and takeaway you can, as let’s be honest, city breaks can be tiring and sometimes it’s great to have a little downtime, especially with a family in tow.

Whilst every single property is different in size, shape and decor, they all offer the same high levels of comfort and character.

You might be thinking this is just another self-catered property, well, think again. The properties are brimming with the owners personalities and possessions and are a far cry from standard self-catering properties. What we loved most of all was imaging the owners life and pretending for a few nights that it was ours.

The only downside of Onefinestay is having to return home. We would highly recommend them for a family trip to the city. Great value for money and a relaxed and unique way to see the city.
