Center Parcs

Center Parcs Treehouse Interior Having undergone a modern makeover Center Parcs have a new look. Luxury Treehouses and modern lodges make this holiday camp the go-to destination for the modern family.

In recent years we have seen a rise in holidaying in the UK. From staycations in Cornwall to glamping in the Cotswolds, families are looking for weekend breaks and holidays much closer to home.

You may have reservations about the holiday camp feel to Center Parcs but trust us, it is far removed from the days of Butlins and Red Coats. With everything on site it promises a fun-filled and stress-free break for families.

There are four Center Parcs in the UK, all situated in forest environments. Each Parc offers accommodation ranging from the affordable, no frills Comfort Houses to the spacious and luxurious Treehouse Villas complete with saunas and hot tubs. We recommend asking for recently upgraded lodges if you are keen to holiday in style as not all accommodation has undergone the makeover.

Center Parcs boasts fantastic facilities including an amazing Subtropical Swimming Paradise, providing an aquatic adventure for the whole family. There is also a wonderful pool with mini slides where smaller children can safely paddle, splash and play. Other activities include ten pin bowling, fencing, badminton and table tennis. There really is something to suit everyone.

The Parc really lends itself to long family bike rides and is a great way to explore the grounds and enjoy some old-fashioned family fun. There is an enormous bike hire area where you can hire bikes for all ages and sizes, including great bike trailers for little ones.

For those wishing to sneak off for a little “me-time”, we recommend the Centre Parcs spa, Aqua Sana. Choose from their vast treatment menu or simply relax in the pool or one of the many spa experience rooms. For the ultimate de-stressing indulgence, we recommend the luxurious Elemis Face and Body Sensation treatment. Little ones will be well looked after at the crèche whilst you unwind and recharge.

At the crèche little ones certainly won’t be short of entertainment, from Little Chefs,  a great baking/cake decorating class for kids to Bumblebees Timeout Club, the perfect haven for young children. We recommend booking all the spa and crèche facilities in advance.

One of the most attractive elements of Centre Parcs is the complete absence of cars. After the first day, they are rather wonderfully banned from the complex so you can really immerse yourself in the tranquil setting and cycle around the park with a lovely sense of safety and freedom.

So, if you’re in need of a fun-packed but restful family holiday surrounded by nature, Center Parcs might just be the perfect place to escape to.
