StyleNest team up with Boden for a weeklong style challenge.
Here at StyleNest HQ we’ve been taking part in the Boden Style Challenge – wearing Boden every day for five days. Channeling some of this season’s biggest trends and classic looks from Colour Pop to Riviera Chic, we took some of the British brand’s best pieces from the SS12 collection and worked them in to our existing wardrobe.
Here’s how to wear Boden and shop our looks.
Grown Up Grunge
This season relive the 90s with a grown up take on the grunge trend. Here Astrid rocks tartan skinnies with Boden’s must-have Textured Stich Jumper. A denim shirt layered underneath smartens up the look whilst Boden’s luxuriously soft grey Leather Biker is a more summer friendly shade than black. Finish the grunge look off with Boden’s boyish bold Red Satchel and off course, a classic McQueen Skull Scarf.
Classic Riviera Chic
Spring sees the return of the classic perennial look that is Riviera Chic. Channel Coco Chanel in a summer Boden Breton and Show Stopping Necklace, and keep things comfy in skinny jeans and these masculine Boden Loafers. Pull the whole look together with a Cream Summer Blazer, sunnies and a timeless Chanel bag. Charlie finishes off the Parisian look perfectly with little Toffee.
Modern 70s
Add a vintage vibe to your wardrobe with Boden’s Florence Silk Top. Hannah has paired it with a 70s denim flare to lengthen the leg, and sky-high Miu Miu leopard print courts. Boden’s bag of the season, aptly named the Yellow Must-Have Bag adds a pop of colour. Feminine, fun and fuss-free it’ll become a go-to summer staple.
Perfect Print Clash
The print clash trend was seen in various collections from Dolce & Gabbana to Mary Katrantzou, but if the vibrant hues and quirky patterns seem a little daring, here’s how to rock the trend into your weekend wardrobe. Astrid clashes Boden’s Stripe Top in candy pink with Leopard Print Pumps and finishes the look off with Christopher Kane’s iconic constellation print scarf. A classic Navy Blazer and cute fedora finish the look of perfectly. It shouldn’t work but it does.
Summer Colour Pop
Our Boden challenge comes to an end this week with a pop of summer colour. Charlie brightens up her Burberry trench with Boden’s Lime Skinny Belt and adds some vintage charm to her Classic Boden Satchel with this vibrant Hermès scarf. Boyfriend jeans are a weekend must have and to smarten them up a little pair them with a timeless Perfect White Shirt. Weekend dressing made easy.
