Vida Glow

Vida Glow

Marine collagen is big beauty news at the moment, so we were keen to try Vida Glow, a hair, skin and nails supplement hailing from Australia.

A natural marine collagen supplement, Vida Glow is sachets of powder available in flavours including peach, pineapple, blueberry, mango and original. You can also buy Vida Glow in loose powder form. The brilliant bit is there is a dosage recommendation for you depending on what you’re looking to get out of Vida Glow. These are: Gratitude- maintaining healthy hair, skin and nails; Prosperity- extra help with weak nails and the first signs of wrinkles; Love- for sun damage, wrinkles, very fine or weak hair, which is also the main beauty overhaul package; or, their Beauty Blend.

As I’m extra conscious of having the tired skin, hair and nails of a winter hangover I went for the main beauty dosage which is a sachet in the morning, at lunchtime and in the evening. You can pop it into water, smoothies, yoghurt, porridge and cereals, but my favourite was sprinkled over blueberries and granola. Easy to get into your system as the pineapple blend in particular is very tasty, it doesn’t seem a chore to consume.

Derived from the scales of the Deep Sea Red Snapper fish, Vida Glow’s natural marine collagen is bio-efficient due to coming in powder form. Ethically and ethologically sourced from sustainable fishing practices, your beauty conscience can remain clean. The collagen itself is found in Japan, yet blended in Australia. Call me strange, but I quite like to think of Australian sunshine when drinking it too.

The second largest substance after water in the body, our bodies naturally create collagen. With this production slowly decreasing over time, in fact from as early as our twenties, its depletion causes those pesky effects of ageing.  By including collagen in your daily diet, skin remains hydrated, with the elasticity that youth brings. It also assists in the growth and strength of your hair and nails, both of which thin over time. Furthermore, your tendons, ligaments and cartilage will thank you for consuming this natural marine collagen as it is a vital protein for the body.

We found adding Vida Glow into our daily routine surprisingly easy, with sachets that can be stored in your bag for work or luggage for holidays. Trying the routine for a month, the results have been clear. My hair and nails are definitely stronger, and as someone desperately trying to grow my hair, my hairdresser commented on its longer length. Obviously, this made me jump for joy. My skin is also plumped, looking a lot more radiant than it usually does at the time of year.

Apart from the fact the sachets taste yummy and it just feels good to add these supplements into my lifestyle, I’m seeing a noticeable difference and would absolutely recommend sampling Vida Glow.

The 30 x 3g sachets are priced at £33.95 and 270g loose powder is priced at £91.95.
