Sif Jakobs Jewellery

Want to be in on the jewellery brand beloved by the likes of Dua Lipa and Katy Perry? The award-winning Sif Jakobs Jewellery collection combines contemporary designs with masses of what we all want our jewellery to add to our lives – and that’s sparkle!

Affordable luxury is one of the hallmarks of the brand: think rhodium, 18k rose gold or yellow gold plated 925 sterling silver. Drama is often added by way of high-quality AAA cubic zirconia stones, whether in white or alluring rainbow hues.

Colour is a recent addition to the Sif Jakobs brand, which traditionally featured a monochromatic, minimalistic look – 2018 marked the year of a move away from a black and white focus to the launch of “Rainbow” – a range featuring a multitude of colours to add ‘magical rainbow dust’ to even the most simple and classic of outfits.

“Colours are here to stay in my collections,” says Sif Jakobs. ‘The colours have had a huge impact on our brand.”

Originally from Iceland, Sif Jakobs was educated as a goldsmith in Sweden and has based her business in Copenhagen since 2000. The Danish capital has long been renowned as the home of cool, so small wonder that Jakobs’ designs have soared here, with the brand gaining the coveted Børsen Gazelle prize – awarded to the fastest growing and most progressive Danish jewellery brand – both in 2014 and 2015.

The Sif Jakobs aesthetic is very much one of a woman who travels and exudes confidence and elegance. Sif herself divides her time between Copenhagen and Italy – another well-known mecca of style – and the latter, in particular, is a constant source of inspiration to the designer, as is reflected by the fact that many of her collections are named after Italian cities.

“I mostly design when I travel and meet new cultures, landscapes and buildings,” says Sif. “My mind opens when I’m in new settings and I structure all these impressions and ideas when I’m alone on a plane – this is where a lot of designs are realised.”

A recent addition to the collections has been a customisation service, tapping into a key trend for personalisation. “I’ve always loved how jewellery can emphasise your personality,” says Sif. “Bringing customised and personalised designs into the portfolio is a natural extension to our collections.” To this end, there’s also the award-winning Zodiaco collection, which employs glittering zirconia stones to create the twelve birth sign constellations, with the designer remarking: “I’ve always aimed to design jewellery that expresses who you are.”
