You are such a leading voice in the world of beauty and spa treatments, how did you get to where you are today?

I trained in Ireland and always had passion for beauty, the beauty industry, and a thirst for knowledge to learn.  I think am where I am because I’ve always been open to change, learning and am eager to learn more.

As a mother, your skin must have gone through some changes.  How did you regime change during pregnancy and after?

I remember the tiredness. My skin became dull and tired-looking so a good homecare routine was very important.  While in a bath, I’d make time to do a basic cleanse, exfoliate, and mask to revive my skin.

Any top beauty tips for mums?  Quick fixes for tired eyes, etc?

Mums get very little time so it’s about getting clever with time we do get.  I recommend doing a regime in the bath and importantly, use products that perform.  I highly recommend our Instant Refreshing Gel, an awakening gel for the feet and Papaya Enzyme Peel mask to kick-start skin.

What’s your all-time favourite read?

The Passage to Power by Lesley Kenton.  It’s a wonderful book for the mature woman.  It’s inspiring and aspirational.  This is my all-time favourite; bought it 8 years ago and now follow Lesley as an author.  It’s had a great influence on me.

When you’re not at work, what do you enjoy doing with the kids?  Are there any local parks or attraction museums they particularly love?

Me and my daughter Kate go cycling up to Alexandra Palace and love stopping to admire the amazing view of London and taking in fresh air.

As we move into autumn, will you be adapting your regime?

I love the changing of the seasons.  In September, I love the autumn colours and immediately my wardrobe reflects it.  It’s a time when skincare changes too.  As days get shorter, I change from moisturising masks to deep cleansing masks and making sure I use my Pro-Collagen Marine Cream.

Elemis have introduced the freshskin range, which we love.  Are there plans to introduce a mother and baby range?

We’ll keep you posted!  We have lots coming up.
