CASH & ROCKET

Hi Julie, it’s so nice to meet you, so tell me…

What’s in a name… How did the name CASH & ROCKET come about?
The name is a balance of power and purpose. “CASH” represents our mission to raise funds for incredible causes, and “ROCKET” symbolises energy, speed, and forward momentum. It’s about propelling women forward, fuelling change at high velocity—with style, heart, and impact. Lastly Cash is after my oldest son (named after Jonny Cash and Rocket is after my godson)….. so, the inspiration is close!
What does a day in the life of Julie look like? (let’s pick a day on the tour)
On the tour, no days are ever the same – but they all start early. Very early. I’m usually up by 5am, checking in with the team while most are still asleep. We’re moving cars – think Gone in 60 Seconds – shuffling supercars before sunrise to make it easier for the ladies to roll out in style. Every detail matters. We make sure logistics are flowing, routes are clear, and most importantly, that every woman  feels supported, confident, and empowered before we hit the road.
The day is a high-octane mix of adrenaline, unexpected car breakdowns, police convoys, spontaneous moments, breathtaking drives, emotional charity visits, and of course – those glamorous, unforgettable events.By evening, we’re raising a glass to another milestone, laughing, sometimes crying, and always reconnecting with why we do this. It’s intense, emotional, wildly unpredictable – and deeply rewarding. Honestly, it’s almost impossible to explain what the tour is all about… you have to Drive the Change yourself. And trust me – there’s no script for what happens in a day on CASH & ROCKET.

Who or what inspires you?
I’m inspired by women who lift each other up, who turn pain into purpose and create beauty from struggle. The resilience I’ve seen in the women and children we support through our charities keeps me going. I’m also endlessly inspired by the women on our tour – bold, brilliant, unapologetically themselves.

Who, in your opinion, is your mentor or muse in the world of philanthropy?
Oprah Winfrey has always stood out to me. She embodies purpose with grace and uses her voice and resources to shift culture and champion change. In a more personal sense, my muses are the women we’ve met through the charities – quiet leaders who show extraordinary strength in the face of impossible odds.

How do you decide which countries to host the CASH & ROCKET tours in?
We look for places that offer a mix of culture, beauty, challenge, and storytelling potential. The routes need to be exciting but also logistically sound. We always aim to weave in cultural richness, iconic settings, and meaningful charity connections. Every location must inspire transformation – both for the women on the tour and those we aim to help. Looking into Middle East for March 2026 so stay tuned!

As a hugely inspirational woman, what are your tips for starting out on a fundraising mission?
Start with heart. Know why you’re doing it and let that guide every move. Be authentic, be relentless, and build real relationships. Fundraising is not about asking – it’s about connecting others to a mission that matters. Also, never underestimate the power of storytelling.

Tell me about your work with charities.
CASH & ROCKET has always been about tangible impact. We carefully select charities that focus on women and children, with a proven record of transparency and transformation. We have a big focus on education. Education is key and can change the world, to clean water to housing, we support projects that create long-term change. And we don’t just write a cheque – we build relationships, visit the communities, and stay involved.

What do you want people to take away from your mission and work?
That purpose and glamour can live side by side. That women, when united, are a truly unstoppable force. And that giving back isn’t just a responsibility – it’s a privilege. I want people to feel inspired to take action, to live boldly, and to lead with heart.
