Adam Reed, L’Oréal Professionnel UK Editorial Ambassador

Hi Adam, great to meet you, you really need no introduction as one of the biggest names in British hairdressing but tell me a little more about your latest project…

Tell me, will this work wonders on all hair types? Even desperate, over processed hair? *asking for a friend

Yes, L’Oréal Professionnel Majirel Glow is suitable for all hair types. I would always suggested a proper consultation before any colour appointment, this will allow you to have an honest conversation with your colourist about what you are looking to achieve and define what is realistic between you both. I always use L’Oréal Professionnel Smartbond, a Smartbond service will minimise any potential damage & protect your hair while colouring. It also has a great at home conditioner that can be used at home 1-2 times a week to continuously strengthen the fibre.

The glow trend is huge right now, across all areas of beauty from skincare to beauty was it only a matter of time before it crossed over to hair?

Yes absolutely, it was only a matter of time before the glow trend hit the hair world. As hairdressers, we have been really pushing for it for some time now, there was slight resistance to it but I would say it is being fully embraced now which is great!

How long lasting are the effects of Majirel Glow?

Colour will look best up to 6-8 weeks.

I’ve just finished lfw and am heading to Pfw now, having seen pastel & neon hair all over the runway, do you feel like this works for editorial but for the majority of people natural shades are the most wanted?

Yes I do think for the majority of clients, they are looking for a natural colour that is the best version of their natural colour however I do find that when the occasional client wants a vibrant look they really do go for the bold shades.

In terms of demographic, is Majirel Glow for all ages, hair types and genders?

Absolutely, L’Oréal Professionnel Majirel Glow is open to all!

As a hugely respected figure in British hairdressing, can you give me any trend predictions for 2020?

Look out for relaxed, luxury hair. Hair that looks like you are taking care of it but has a beautiful air of naturality, think playfully prepared and finished.

Natural glossy hair is ultimately what I strive for on a daily basis, when is it available in salons so I can treat myself to the Majirel glow?

Majirel Glow is available in L’Oréal Professionnel salons nationwide from October 2019.
