Oxford Christmas Market

Oxford Christmas Market at nightSet against the backdrop of Oxford Castle, the Oxford Christmas Market is the perfect picturesque setting to get you in the festive spirit this season.

Where: Oxford Castle

When: 2-18 December 2011

Is there a more magical way to delight in the joys of Christmas than at one of Britain’s most historic castles? Located in Oxford’s City Centre it’s the ideal location to enjoy the festivities and get some last minute Christmas shopping done too.

The traditional German-style market is beautifully decorated with wooden stalls selling everything from hand crafted Christmas decorations to mulled wine and Bratwurst.

Children will not be disappointed as this year the festival is putting on a free Christmas Trail were every child will win a prize. And you won’t have to worry about your little one’s letter to Father Christmas getting lost in the post, as the festival has its own station to write and send wish lists off to him directly.

So, take some time out at this hectic time of year and get yourself and the family down to Oxford’s Christmas Market to enjoy carol choirs, a ride on the beautiful Victorian carousel and some good old fashioned festive fun.

Admission to the Oxford Christmas Market is free.
