Hen Party Ideas to Enjoy with Your Besties

Hen PartyYour wedding day is one of the best days of your life, but the time running up to it can be almost as exciting. One of the best things about it is that it gives you an opportunity to spend time with your friends as they help you plan.

And then there’s the hen party, when you get to have one last big night (or day) out together before you become a married woman. Of course, that doesn’t mean you won’t be having fun together once you’re married. Even if you don’t see the need to celebrate your final moments as a “single” woman, you might as well take any excuse for a party. Consider these ideas for your hen party to bring all your friends together.

The “Traditional” Hen

When you think of hen nights, you probably think of ladies in matching t-shirts having a screamingly good night out. While this option isn’t for everyone, some love it. You don’t need to embarrass yourselves to have a night on the town. Maybe you want to have a laugh and pull out some cowboy hats or deely boppers, but your club, pub or bar crawl doesn’t have to turn into a drunken mess. If you want to go clubbing, try booking a private booth or VIP area, so you have more space to yourselves.

The Classy Hen

If you would prefer something more refined, you’re not obligated to hit the clubs. Classy ladies might prefer to either hold their party during the day or pick a more laid-back restaurant or bar. You could have a spa day or spend your time learning to make and decorate cupcakes. Try booking a night at a posh hotel and having an expensive dinner, and then going out for cocktails in some up-market bars. Going to a bigger city is perfect for this because there are plenty of options.

The Wild Hen

Maybe you and the girls and looking for adventure, in which case you might find sitting down for a meal boring. There are lots more thrilling activities you can try to get your blood pumping. If you want something to make you scream with excitement (apart from your impending nuptials), theme parks are the perfect place to have an alternative hen outing. But if rollercoasters aren’t for you, you could spend a day hiking or bike riding, or try something new like zorbing or go-kart racing.

The Extended Hen

One day not enough for you? If you’ve got the cash to spare, organise a longer hen do that you can all throw yourself into. It could be a weekend, or you could all go on holiday together for a few days or even a week. If you’re going away anyway, you could turn that into your hen do, instead of having a separate occasion.

There’s nothing like spending some time with your friends, and it’s even better when you have something to celebrate. Don’t limit your hen party to the usual night out if it’s not for you.
