If there is one thing the Italian’s do well (apart from food!) it’s beautiful children’s clothes. One brand that stands out in terms of quality, creativity and value for money is Valmax.
With an impressive history behind them, the brand have been established for 55 years. Started by the Sbiroli family where the matriarch began sowing children’s baptism dresses at the young of age of 12 in an Atelier run by a convent in Putignano, Italy. She then went on to became the first woman to industrialise the art and craft of artisanal wedding gowns in Italy, and after marrying and having her two children- Valmax was created.
Though a heritage brand, the aim is that the handcrafted and authentic craftsmanship can sit alongside more contemporary and trend lead pieces. “ValMax new take on the contemporary children’s wear is still done so with our classic artistry” says Patrizia Loliva, Creative Director.
For SS16, the lands of Southern Italy, a love for colours, and the search for playful contemporary twists are the inspiration. The result is a beautiful collection of great casual basics – perfect for summer holidays, and elegant, timeless dresses that are ideal for special summer occasions.
