Red Nose DayWith Red Nose Day approaching on the 15 March, StyleNest are very excited with the launch of the collaboration between Stella McCartney and TK Maxx.

The official designer of the t-shirts for Red Nose Day 2013, Stella McCartney has teamed up with the discount store TK Maxx to offer shoppers an exclusive designer collection. With the likes of Kate Moss, David Walliams and Cameron Diaz modelling the Stella McCartney five individually designed exclusive tees for Comic Relief 2013.

Launched on Christmas Day in 1985, Comic Relief was initiated to help the crippling famine in Ethopia. Thus, Comic Relief was born, a live show devised to make the public laugh and to help raise money. Shortly after, Red Nose Day was created and raised £15 million in 1988 at its first event. Celebrating the 25th year of Red Nose Day, 2013 has raised over £600 million to help people in need. Offical partner, TK Maxx offers designer and high street brands from womenswear, menswear, childrenswear and homeware with up to 60% less recommended retail price. Launched in 1994, TK Maxx has over 250 stores nationwide.

Featuring icons such as The Beatles, Tommy Cooper and an adorable giraffe print will be available in a range of short sleeve and long sleeve styles for children aged between 0-3 months and 1-10 years.

Available in all TK Maxx stores nationwide, the profits from each sale of each t-shirt will be given to Comic Relief to help people leading struggling lives across Africa and the UK.

The t-shirts have been manufactured in Africa with 100% cotton sourced from Fairtrade and certified, organic cotton co-operatives in Mali. With pesticide and GM free cotton, the fair price clothing helps to give farmers in developing countries a living.

On her role in this year’s campaign, Stella McCartney said; “I admire the Red Nose Day team and their achievement for this incredible worthwhile cause, and to be able to be a small part of supporting that is extremely rewarding.”

Endorsing the campaign is Kate Moss as well as comedian David Walliams and supermodel and photographer Helena Christensen has worked her magic behind the camera.
