Igloo Kids is an online retail store with a cute name and even cuter stock to match. Selling babywear, kidswear, accessories, toys and gifts; it’s a one-stop shop for stylish little ones.
Founded by a mum herself, Karen Bailey was inspired by her own three children – who incredibly were born within one year of one another thanks to a lovely surprise of twins.
And so Karen set out to create a company that parents and little ones would love alike, brimming with beautiful products be it a gift to remember a special milestone with, or some well made shoes to start the new school term in.
The idea paid off and eight years later Igloo Kids has gone from one standalone store on Islington’s Upper Street to three London based stores and a successful online shop.
The designers and brands stocked on the site are key to Igloo’s success and showcases Karen’s taste in children’s design perfectly, whilst remaining both practical and age appropriate. Brands range from girly Australian brand Tutu Du Monde to quirky-cool kid’s brand Imps & Elfs, as well as well-known trusted brands such as Star-rite and Sylvanian Families.
For babies, Igloo kids has some beautiful brands on board, our favourite being traditional French childrenswear brand Tartine et Chocolat. Choose from sweet smock dresses to Peter Pan collar babygrows for adorable separates for your little girls and boys.
In the boys department there’s plenty on offer for your cheeky little chaps. The SS13 collections have started to arrive including some vibrant swimming shorts by Sunuva – perfect if you’ve got a family holiday planned, and waterproof macs by Week-End à la Mer – just in time for those imminent April showers to hit.
There’s plenty to choose from too even if you’ve got the pickiest of little girls on your hands. Highlights include nautical inspired dresses by Junior Gaultier and party-perfect dresses from I Love Gorgeous.
