Kitsch brand Hello Kitty kids has teamed up this season with traditional British knitwear brand, Brora for an adorable little girl’s clothing range.
Brora is fast becoming a front-runner in the fashion collaboration stakes with the likes of London designers Michael Van Der Ham and Louise Gray both teaming up with the British brand. This season however, it’s mini fashion fans who are in for a treat as Brora partner the global kids brand, Hello Kitty for an exclusive childrenswear range.
The girl’s collection caters for ages 6 months up to 12 years and includes Hello Kitty inspired pieces from smock dresses to retro dungarees. And for those of you with any preconceived ideas that Hello Kitty only did garish and overly girly saccharine sweet pink pieces – think again. This capsule collection is crafted in stunning, vintage inspired Liberty print fabric, which features a very subtle Hello Kitty print – giving the well-known cat character an entirely new spin.
Brora’s Victoria Stapleton sums the collection up perfectly with, “The idea of being the first cashmere brand in the UK to collaborate with Hello Kitty gave us the opportunity to design a range of quirky and classy pieces that are real show stoppers, especially for a six year old. “
As always, Brora’s attention to detail and use of quality fabric are key to the collaboration, with the use of soft cashmere and fine cotton throughout.
For babies, standout of the Hello Kitty collection has to be the Liberty Print Smock Dress (£85). An all-year-round favourite this traditional smock frock will work with a cardi and ribbed tights this Christmas, or with ankle socks and Mary-Janes in the summer.
For older girls up to 12 years, the Hello Kitty Liberty Print Dungaree Dress (£75) is our favourite. With a whimsical Hello Kitty print in kind-to-skin cotton this charming little dress will become a favourite for winter play dates. Layer over a knitted sweater or simple tee.
If you’re on the hunt for some stocking fillers for your style-conscious little ones, the range also includes some sweet cashmere accessories from adorable bobble hats to cool wrist warmers.
