Disney And Cath Kidston Collaborate

Cath Kidston x DisneyAn exciting new collaboration has just been announced, featuring Disney characters alongside Cath Kidston’s signature designs.

Due to launch this September the limited collection will be paying tribute to one of the world’s most famous bears: Winnie-the-Pooh, and is being launched to coincide with his 90th anniversary. Pooh and his friends will feature within the signature print designs; Button Spot and Bramley Sprig. Plus a brand new print, inspired by the charming home of Winnie-the-Pooh and friends, Hundred Acre Wood, will also be introduced.

Cath Kidston’s print design team delved deep into the Disney archives to source the original character illustrations to inspire its cheerful new designs. Speaking on the collaboration Sue Chidler, Cath Kidston’s Marketing Director said:

‘We’ve thoroughly enjoyed marrying the storytelling elements of classic Disney characters with the cheerfulness of our brand. The fusion of Disney’s Winnie-the-Pooh characters with our classic design prints makes for an exciting, creative collection filled with personality that we believe our customers will love to collect.

Francesca Gianesin, VP, Fashion & Lifestyle, The Walt Disney Company EMEA, added:

‘We can’t wait for fans of all ages to enjoy the Winnie-the-Pooh collection, as we celebrate the loveable characters of Hundred Acre Wood during their 90th anniversary year. Cath Kidston’s playful and iconic prints provide the perfect backdrop for our classic Disney characters, and we’re looking forward to creating more new and exciting product together’.

Winnie-the-Pooh isn’t the only Disney character to be welcomed to the Cath Kidston family; a brand new Mickey and Minnie Mouse collection is set to launch in December- just in time for Christmas!
