Contemporary Wallpaper By Aimée Wilder

Aimee Wilder WallpaperFrom retro mix tapes to kissing lovebirds, little robots to quirky 60s prints, there’s no end to the themes contemporary wallpaper designer Aimée Wilder dreams up.

She’s a hot name in the interiors world over in the States, but wallpaper, fabric and home ware designer Aimée Wilder is little known here in the UK. Let’s hope not for long, as her whimsical, unique designs have us wanting to redecorate pronto.

Wilder found her creative flair growing up between the New York City fashion showrooms her parents used to work in. A love for fabric and print pursued, as did a stint at the acclaimed School of Art Institute of Chicago, before going on to working as an in house designer for the likes of Designspace, Dwell Studio and Martha Stewart Living.

Wilder went it alone and launched her eponymous line, Aimée Wilder in 2008, creating unique ideas for the home, from quirky wallpapers to statement cushions, bold, beautiful rugs to kitsch little dog accessories. It is her wallpaper however that stands out thanks to its playful and retro quality.

The Analog Nights wallpaper print offers a feast of nostalgia with decks, hi-fis and mix tapes sandwiched together.  Perfect for a study or a small reading corner it’s sure to take you back to your teens.

Whilst the wealth of geometric print wallpapers in a series of colour ways will spruce up a living or dining space in an instant with a pop of 60s retro charm.  And for the kid’s rooms or nursery, Wilder has created a serious of adorable and charming wallpaper prints, taking inspiration from Russian dolls, robots and rain bolts.

Wilder has taken part in a serious of collaborations in the states with huge brands such as Vans shoes and Urban Outfitters. Her work is still hard to find here in the UK, although your can order her wallpapers at luxury children’s online store, LittleFashionGallery.

Although we’re expecting it to only be a matter of time before we see her name popping up in many a department store and her prints popping up on just about everyone’s walls.
