The Treehouse in The Alnwick Garden in Northumberland,Set within The Alnwick Garden in Northumberland, The Treehouse is an enchanting restaurant that offers both local produce and an unbeatable setting.

The experience begins when walking up to The Treehouse which, as the name suggests, is built entirely upon a woodland base. Climbing the steps intrigue and excitement can be felt, a part of the joy for adults and children alike. Venturing along the treetop corridor you stumble upon fantastic views and the delight of this new adventure. Further into the trees, the entrance to the restaurant appears, placed beside a rope bridge stretching out to the woodland (perfect for a bit of exploring later).

Twinkly lights provide a welcoming glow from inside the The Treehouse, yet as you enter there is an uncertainty about what to expect. Seasonal cosiness is provided by the log fire and there is a Christmassy feel to the whole effect. For those who fancy a Sunday roast the menu provides 2 courses priced at £15.50 or 3 at £19.95. This is complimented by vegetarian options such as Poached Potato Gnocchi, a children’s menu and yummy puddings; Rhubarb and Berry Crumble with Vanilla Crème Anglaise anyone? Other culinary offerings at The Treehouse include dishes with locally made chutneys and fish sourced from Seahouses (a nearby coastal town). Delicious Alnwick IPA gravy completes this slice of Northumberland fare.

With the food, atmosphere and service all being excellent this restaurant is perfect for the whole family. However it would also be an ideal place to come for a grown up evening meal, enjoying wine and tasty food in candlelight.
