Park Corner Brasserie

A ten minute walk from Green Park Tube and situated within the iconic London Hilton on Park Lane, you won’t be disappointed if you venture within to experience the truly marvellous Park Corner Brasserie. From the warm welcome and excellent service we received from all staff members,  to the excellent food options (all listed with their own carbon footprint for those eco conscious among us) on array. As a vegetarian I often feel a little let down by the paucity of menu options at restaurants, not so here as both my companion and I are both vegetarian, we were delighted at the options provided and staff were quick to provide their personal recommendations too.

All this and a Sommelier on hand to match our drinks to our choices made for a sumptuous dining experience.

To start with I had the Goat Curd, Black Truffle Honey, Salted Caramel, Roasted Hazelnuts with sourdough which was simply divine, my only comment would be there wasn’t enough of the delicious sourdough for the curd, my companion had the Pear, Chicory, Celeriac, Stilton and Mixed Seed Salad which she waxed lyrical about. For our mains we both plumped for the Orzo pasta with Wild Mushrooms, Camilo Nero & roasted Hazelnuts with sides of Creamed Kale and Kale, Artichoke & Cavolo. This dish was a staff recommendation and rightly so as it was utterly delectable and the perfect winter dish.

For dessert, I chose the Chocolate orange brownie – which was unlike any other brownie I have ordered previously (in a good way) and is now the required brownie standard to which all other brownies must adhere to… my companion ordered the sticky toffee pudding, again on a staff recommendation and she couldn’t finish it as it was such a generous dish. Staff helpfully provided her with a takeaway box to ensure she did not go hungry later that evening.

With each course our drinks were paired beautifully by the outstanding Sommelier and it is no exaggeration to say that this fully contributed to the overall excellent experience we both had at Park Corner Brasserie…

Run don’t walk, this is a gem of a place.
