Jackson + Rye

Jackson + RyeAfter launching in December, Jackson + Rye has been a firm favourite amongst Londoners and now us StyleNester’s.

With more and more American inspired diners jumping ship and hopping across the pond, Jackson + Rye pays tribute to classic American heritage cuisine.

Located in the heart of Soho, on bustling Wardour Street, the all day restaurant offers a menu of drip coffee, buttermilk pancakes, ham and eggs ensuring your hangover is cured and stomachs are filled.

Backed by brainchild of Caprice Holdings, Richard Caring, Jackson + Rye poses as the older sibling to Caring’s Grillshack which also opened last year. As a serial restaurateur and with a string of burger recipes under his belt, it’s safe to say that Caring knows what he’s doing.

Decked with olive leather banquette seating, vintage swivel stools and tiled flooring, the New York-clad diner offers comfort in both the aesthetics and the menu.

StyleNest stopped by for a mid-week dinner and got to “work” sampling dishes: squid with chipotle mayonnaise, truffled mac and cheese, Reuben sandwich, buttermilk chicken, shoestring fries and creamed corn grits accompanied by a naughty cocktail or two to help wash it all down. And for the grand finale, peanut butter cookies with milk ice cream and chocolate sauce as well as apple fritters and sour cream.

Informal all day dining, Jackson + Rye makes for the perfect spot for a beer and bites with friends or for a hearty meal for date night.
