corinthia lobby loungeThe Corinthia Hotel London, are serving up a selection of delightful festive treats with their seasonal take on afternoon tea this festive season.

Indulging in delicious food and drink at is a must come Christmas time. This December, extend your indulgences to the delightful Festivi-Tea at the Corinthia throughout the festive season this year.

StyleNest went along to try out the latest Christmas offering and were treated to an elegant, relaxing and delectable afternoon of festive delights.

We were warmly welcomed into the Corinthia’s lobby lounge; a luxury hybrid of modern and traditional décor, set off with by a bespoke Baccarat chandelier glistening underneath a domed roof. With a warm and tranquil vibe, we were instantly transported to a place of inner calm and settled in for our afternoon treats.

The afternoon tea began with a choice of bespoke tea blends and a festive themed selection of finger sandwiches. Christmas classics such as turkey and stuffing with a hint of cranberry sauce sit well with classic tea fare such as salmon with cream cheese and cucumber sandwiches.

Already starting to feel full, we soldiered on to the next part of the tea; a tiered tray stacked high with freshly made scones, along with a selection of festive treats, designed by the in-house team at The Corinthia. Everything looked too pretty to eat, although we managed to sample everything. Highlights were plentiful. The chocolate and gingerbread yule log filled with spiced chocolate mousse was delicious, as was the chestnut mousse with vanilla marshmallows; a playful teatime treat. The Festivi-Tea also included seasonal treats and flavours including a mulled wine jelly and a cranberry flavoured macaron.

We reluctantly left the warm, cocooning atmopshere of the Lobby Lounge highly satisfied and feeling extremely festive. The Festivi-Tea will make the ideal gift for a loved one, or a treat to yourself after a busy day of shopping in the city.

The Corinthia’s Festivi-Tea costs £39 per person and is available until 5th January 2013. Contact the Corinthia Hotel for details of how to book online.
