Treat yourself to a bit of luxury this shrove Tuesday, with a grownup twist on classic pancakes.
Serves: 12-15
Preparation time: 3minutes
Cooking time: 2minutes
What you’ll need:
- 25 cl milk
- 5 cl lager beer
- 2 eggs (100 g)
- 110 g flour
- 25 g butter (melted)
- 15 g sugar
- 1 g salt
- 2.5 cl Grand Marnier Cordon Rouge
What to do:
- Add the sugar to a skillet and caramelise it over medium heat. The sugar is sufficiently carmelised when it turns a soft golden colour.
- Pour in the lemon and orange zest as well as the warm orange juice. The orange juice should be warm, otherwise it will harden the caramelised sugar. Stir until the mixture reduces and thickens.
- Lower the heat, add the butter and stir. Add a crêpe and coat it with the sauce.
- Pour the Grand Marnier on the crepe and flambé it. Then let the crepe simmer in the sauce for 2 minutes. Repeat.
- Serve immediately.
