This lovely hummus recipe has been developed using mood-boosting foods to help you eat your way to happiness. Brazil nuts are the richest source of the mineral selenium, known to help improve your mood and combat depression. What’s more they taste perfect in this classic middle-eastern dish.
Prep time: 5 minutes plus 24 hours soaking time
Cook time: 5 minutes

What You’ll Need:
- 180g Brazil nuts, soaked in water for 24 hours, drained and rinsed
- 1-2 cloves garlic
- 3 tbsp lemon juice
- 4 tbsp rapeseed oil
- 2 tbsp gluten free tahini
- Pinch cayenne pepper
- Sea salt and freshly ground pepper
What To Do:
- Place all the ingredients into a food processor and blend until you have a smooth paste. Add a little water to loosen if necessary
- Taste and adjust the seasoning and then transfer to a bowl
- Cover with cling film and chill in the fridge until ready to serve
- Store in an airtight container and the hummus should keep in the fridge for three to four days
