In celebration of the release of Disney’s live action ‘Cinderella’, the Chinoiserie tea rooms at Jumeirah Carlton Tower are bringing the fairytale to life with their elegant yet magical afternoon tea inspired by the Cinderella story.
Located in the heart of luxurious Knightsbridge, the Jumeirah Carlton Tower hotel is the perfect spot in London for this charmed take on the traditional elevenses, which have been modernised by the hotel’s executive chef Simon Young, albeit with a fantastical twist.
It’s a distinctive and classic British menu served up with some magical sweet treats; think Mull of Kintyre cheddar, Finnan haddock and Scottish roast beef sandwiches, and scones with jam and clotted cream accompanied by an array of dessert cakes and pastries with a fairytale twist. The Cinderella story is brought to life via a melt-in-the-mouth macaroon ‘Pumpkin Carriage’, an explosive popping candy ‘Magic Wand’ and of course, because it wouldn’t be Cinderella without it -the elusive ‘Glass Slipper’ recreated with a mango tuille.
