‘Three Generations’ gluten-free master classes at Cantina del Ponte

Cantina del PonteNavigating a healthy, gluten free diet can be a real struggle for so many of us. It has become commonplace to rely on store brought, gluten free products which can be both expensive and packed full of nasty additives.

Due to the rise in gluten-free diet followers, Cantina Del Ponte, D&D group’s gorgeous Italian trattoria, have launched a Gluten Free Masterclass, suitable for all ages, generations and foodies galore. Aptly names the “Three Generations” masterclass, this is the perfect opportunity for you to bring together mothers, grandchildren, nieces and nephews to learn a new skill, develop new habits and have delicious fun.

Cookbook author, Stephanie Seege, an expert in free-from cooking, has launched this masterclass in order to pass on her knowledge and skills in gluten free Italian cooking and convert those who are finding gluten free home cooking a challenge. Each session has been designed to cover a different staple of Italian cooking, and participants will get hands on creating staples such as gluten free pizza, pasta, breads and of course, desserts.

Cantina Del Ponte is located on the River Thames, in the gorgeous Butler’s Wharf, and is a true Italian gem with charming staff and traditional, Italiano red, black and white interiors. The classes are held in the Cantina’s kitchen, and this is a wonderful opportunity to learn how to cook in the heart of a gourmet yet traditional trattoria kitchen.

Each class is priced at £50 or £140 if booked for ‘three generations’ and this includes a delicious lunch incorporating the dishes you have made throughout the morning. Alongside this, participants will be given an introduction to HELPINGS, a innovative online platform created by Stephanie with the aim to provide us with holistic awareness, inspiration and information about mental and physical health, food and recipes, digestion, sleep, yoga and much more.

The masterclass is a great way to spend your Saturday, however there are only two classes left for the course so we advise booking quickly so as not to miss out!

The next class will take place on Saturday the 2nd of April and will cover Baking and Scones which includes dishes such as an indulgent yet virtuous Peanut butter bread and crunchy Chia seed crackers. If you and your little ones are pizza devotees, the class taking place on the 7th of May will teach attendees two substitute pizza bases using cauliflower and buckwheat flour. Bye bye dry, hard to digest, flavourless, gluten-free pizza bases, this Gluten Free Masterclass promises to introduce to delicious and healthy gluten free alternatives.
