F&M The PantryStaged alongside the stunning ice rink, visitors will have free entry to The Christmas Arcade with Fortnum & Mason, Fortnum’s Lodge and Glad Tidings Tuesday’s evenings of music, events and tastings. A great day out for all ages, available until 11th January 2015.

Skate at Somerset House with Fortnum & Mason is one of the most enchanting Christmas experiences in London this season. From The Christmas Arcade with Fortnum & Mason, to special events for Glad Tidings Tuesdays, the luxurious Fortnum’s Lodge, and a 40ft Christmas tree next to the ice rink, the stunning neo-classical courtyard at Somerset House is the perfect destination for a festive day out in the capital.

Glad Tidings Tuesdays, The Christmas Arcade with Fortnum & Mason and Fortnum’s Lodge are all part of a full and varied programme of Skate at Somerset House with Fortnum & Mason events open to all members of the public, with no purchase of a ticket to the ice rink needed to join in the festive fun.

Fortnum & Mason’s pop-up Christmas Arcade, nestled in Somerset House’s elegant West Wing rooms and overlooking the ice rink, is filled with festive favourites from Fortnum’s, including their trademark hampers, decorations, gifts and treats for the Christmas table.

The Christmas Arcade also offers a range of products designed by Fortnum’s which are exclusive to Somerset House, including a sterling silver ice-skate charm (£65), the Skate Hamper (£50), and a hand-painted, commemorative bauble (£10).

On Tuesday evenings throughout the season, skaters, spectators and shoppers alike can enjoy a series of special events at Glad Tidings Tuesdays.

The next event will take place on Tuesday 23rd December, when visitors will have the chance to learn how to make delicious concoctions during a cocktail making session, whilst the English Chamber Choir help set the festive mood with live carol singing. Those in search of something special can personalise various items ranging from Santa sacks and Christmas crackers, lollipops and biscuits to engraving wine and spirit bottles.

After merry-makers have shopped ‘til they drop, Fortnum’s Lodge is on hand in the West Wing for light bites and indulgent treats from their Lobster & Prawn Burger with Pickled Cucumber to Fortnum’s signature Bee’s Knees cocktail (£9.50), made with honey harvested from the rooftop at Piccadilly.

Open until 11th January 2015. No tickets necessary.
