Mr Lyan Pop-Up Bar

Mr Lyan Pop Up postLondon is a buzz with great pop-up bars and restaurants.  Just when we thought we couldn’t want for any more, another fantastic offering opens up for the more discerning drinker and diner. Between the 6th-8th June head to Mr Lyan’s Pop-Up at the award winning Trangallan. It promises to be a real treat for gourmands and bon vivants alike.

Ryan Chetiyawardana, forward-thinking polymath, whisky and sherry connoisseur and all round charmer behind the wonderful Mr Lyan will be on hand to offer some exceptional drinks, tailored to a bespoke menu of delicious Galician tapas well beyond the norm. Ryan will be taking over the intimate basement of this renowned Stoke Newington tapas bar for just three days.

Chetiyawardana has garnered international press and awards from his time at Edinburgh’s Bramble, and London’s 69 Colebrooke Row, and was instrumental to the cocktail list which launched The Worship Street Whistling Shop. Now working as a consultant and writing articles for The Huffington Post amongst others, he has been curating a series of pop-ups for the more discerning drinker across the Capital, including the perpetually popular Death by Burrito, ahead of opening a permanent space later this year.

To accompany Chetiyawardana’s (Mr Lyan) hand-picked selection of sherry, whisky and cocktails, a delicious array of tapas will be served including tuna tartare, croquetas and smoked anchovies.

Meantime, go along for the most enticing combinations of food and nibbles imaginable, as Ryan showcases the diversity of Gonzalez Byass Sherries and Dalmore malts in a way to challenge your preconceptions, and leave you with some new favourite drinks.
Ryan and his team will be on hand to chat and recommend food and drinks pairings, but they’re only there for three nights so get booking!
