Nestled between King’s Cross and Farringdon is Exmouth Market – a small, fairy light lit street of independent bars, restaurants, bakeries and shops. It’s one of the few London hotspots where you won’t find a Pret A Manger in sight but instead, a line of foodie hotspots and must-visits – one of those being Caravan.

Bar-come-restaurant-come-coffee-roastery, Caravan is ideal if you’re after weekend brunch, midweek dinners or weekend drinks. And during September and October, it’s set to become the Monday night hotspot of choice, thanks to beginning of the week Caravan Sessions.

If you missed the first of Caravan’s must-visit Mondays, the ‘Brews & Blues’ night, make sure you make it to either the ‘Last of the Summer Wine’ night taking place on September 30th or, the ‘Smoked Pickle & Raw’ night taking place on October 28th.

Bid farewell to the last days of summer with Caravan’s ‘Last of the Summer Wine’ evening. Ideal if you’re after a place to eat with friends, the evening will showcase some of Caravan’s tastiest small plates and bowls – perfect for sharing. It’ll also offer up the last chance to tuck into some of summer’s finest product, from peaches to peas and courgette flowers. Drinks will be provided from the last of the season’s bin-ends, offering diners the chance to sample some of the most curious wines on offer. Waste not want not, we say.

Fast forward to Monday 28th October, and Caravan will host an evening of ‘Smoked, Pickled & Raw’. Diners will sit down to a four course meal to sample some of the restaurants finest produce, presented and prepared through the smoking, pickling and raw concept. Indulge in everything from smoked beets with goat’s curd to mackerel with pickled cucumber and moromi miso. A must-try for self-confessed foodies.

It seems Monday’s the new Friday.

‘Last of the Summer Wine’ takes place on Monday 30th September and ‘Smoked, Pickled & Raw’ on Monday 28th October. Bookings can be made through Caravan Exmouth Market for three sittings at 7, 7:30pm and 8pm. Sessions priced at £35 per person which includes a welcome drink and four course dinner.
