Dry January…

Whether you’re doing Dry January or not, the majority of us will, after our seasonal excesses, be cutting back and looking for ways to get healthier, embracing all those; new year, new me resolutions. And given that January won’t be topping any “Favourite Month” polls anytime soon…(why *does* it feel like the longest month of the year?) & we are all cold, broke, doing our tax returns and more than likely few lbs heavier than we were pre Christmas, any gesture to make our collective suffering less dull is most welcome.

One easy  way to make the month feel a whole lot less painless is to sample the latest non alcoholic tipples available. And for the whisky/bourbon lovers among us is the very authentic Celtic Soul.

I like it with ginger ale but it goes equally well with a cola/diet cola or on the rocks.

Next up for the multitude of gin lovers countrywide is, Ceders which, paired with any of the flavoured tonics is an amazing substitute for the traditional G&T. I bought a bottle for my pregnant, gin obsessed friend & she is a fully fledged convert.

Both can be found on sale at Sainsbury’s in the non/low alcohol section priced at £25 and respectively.
