It may seem that Under Armour has achieved even greater ubiquity in and out of the gym over the last couple of years.
Undoubtedly its rise has been meteoric, as it now sits as one of the most significant global fitness and lifestyle brands since its launch in only 1996 by founder Kevin Plank. However, expansion has been built upon the innovation and commitment to excellence which brought them to the fore. We have chosen some of their new arrivals to make your workout, and your day a little better.
Lightweight, über soft, sweat-wicking (you’ll hear a lot of that from UA- it’s a good thing), and even uses anti odour technology, not that you’d need it of course. A great layering piece, or throw it over your favourite T to go about your day-to-day like a tiny bit more of a boss than before.
Old-school simplicity with the understated logo gives you a heavy duty tracksuit bottom for lounging, gym or hanging out. But for the fact that UA Storm Gear is actually water-repellent. While that doesn’t mean diving in the pool for a brick pyjama styles for those old enough to remember, it is pretty impressive.
Take the wicking and odour prevention as standard. Throw in comfort and a smooth feel which keeps you cool, and for good measure chuck in sun protection. Granted that may not be the top of my list as I type this in Edinburgh early February, but long story short this is a handsome pair of shorts which hides more tech than your first laptop, and looks a whole lot better.
If you’re following these sequentially the surprise will be less than it would be otherwise. Can safely be rocked as a companion to the UA Storm Rival Trousers without looking like a teenage wrongmeister or full kit champ; on its own possibly your new favorite item of sports/ leisurewear. Understated, heavy-duty hoodie with the UA logo subtly on the front, and a pouch like all the best hoodies have had since the dawn of time. Boxes ticked already, and then you discover it’s water repellent- in other words perfect for living nearly anywhere. Like a hoodie with in-built voodoo.
The men’s legging has seen a justifiable rise outwith the confines of fell runners and guys you avoid at the gym. This clever incarnation cools, compresses and powers your muscles for longer, stronger performance, and as standard for UA looks strong. I’d still throw a short over them, but whatever powers your muscles.

Men’s UA Heatgear Armour Short Sleeve Compression Shirt
The roots of the UA phenomenon in many ways; compression, cooling, mobility and sun protection in a one-r to put on under any kit for any eventuality. Granted you may not look body double for this lad from the get-go, but superior kit for a better you.
An exceptional, well-styled T which keeps its shape and still looks fresher than you might feel after the toughest of workouts. As standard, full to the brim of hidden ingenuity which makes you delighted even if you’re baffled by it. Charged cotton feels just like the softest T you ever owned, but dries much quicker, stretch fabrication means it moves better than you do (sorry), and conquers sweat and odour effortlessly.
