My-Wardrobe.com Launch The London Lab

model wears green striped dressCelebrating the very best of London’s design talent, online luxury boutique my-wardrobe.com launch the London Lab.

A “collection of leading London design,” is what my-wardrobe’s Fashion Director, Carmen Borgonovo has deemed the London Lab. The new initiative brings together some of the finest young brands and designers to come out of London, edit out the best bits and pull them together in an interactive shopping space.

Included in the lineup are J.W. Anderson, Huishan Zhang, Meadham Kirchhoff and Richard Nicoll – think of it as a who’s who of the trendy East London fashion scene.

As well as being able to shop some of the new season collections of this talented bunch, shoppers can navigate through a series of inspirational tools too. Susie Bubble has been picked as a London luvvy to showcase some of the looks through her Instagram page, whilst the my-wardrobe fashion team share their favourite London spots, from champagne bar Bob Bob Ricard to the sugar almond shade houses of Primrose Hill.

Highlights of the London Lab edit include Huishan Zhang’s Wool and Lace Panel Coat – ladylike and elegant wear it as an alternative to a cocktail dress this autumn.

On the other side of the spectrum, J.W. Anderson’s boyish charm has us lusting after his winter knits. The Irish by way of London designer started his career in menswear, with his tomboy womenswear line following suit. We’ll be wearing his graphic Green Checked Grid Sweater with a wool skirt and brogues this autumn.

And top of our London wish list has to be Sophie Hulme’s iconic tote bag. Reworked in sweet pistachio for AW13, it’ll add a pop of colour to a navy or grey coat.

The London Lab has us coming over all patriotic all of a sudden. Or perhaps it’s just another excuse to get shopping.
