With spring now well on the way, our thoughts here at StyleNest are turning to our transitional season wardrobes and HOBBS’ new premium workwear collection is at the top of our lists.
The London Collection consists of a range of flattering, luxurious pieces – ranging from dresses and skirts to three-piece suits – designed to flatter the female form. Whilst the collection is inspired by design techniques used by Jean Muir and Bill Gibbs in the 1950s and 1960s, the designs are incredibly contemporary yet feminine. Sculptural twists, darts and pleats define the range and, as HOBBS’ Creative Director Sandy Verdon rightly says, make the London Collection “truly a cut above”.
Each piece is designed in-house and expertly brought to life in the atelier to accentuate the female silhouette and create designs to flatter every figure. Premium fabrics such as crepe, silk and double-faced wool further add to the sense of luxury, whilst finishes include mother of pearl effect buttons and soft leather insoles for loafers and heels – sounds blissful to us.
With the feminine colour palette designed to suit any skin tone, it’s hard to pick favourites in this collection but we adore the delectable raspberry shade of the elegant Rowena Coat. This would make a fabulous cover-up with a number of pieces from the range, including the classic black Alexandra Dress or the immaculately tailored white Eloise Trouser. HOBBS has always created beautiful. affordable designs for busy women but The London Collection has been hailed as the brand’s most luxurious workwear yet, designed to make women feel confident – and we’d definitely agree with that. It’s time to take your spring workwear to the next level with these gorgeous investment pieces.
